This Fourth of July was quite different compared to any other year. Parades, fireworks, parties, and plans were canceled, but despite all the disappointments, we still managed to have a safe and fun Holiday!
So far, 2020 has taught me how to sort of be a kid again. With life slowing down and no where to go, I’m remembering what it’s like to be bored again and grounded (haha). I’ve had to tap into my creative side to find the fun! I also have more time to search and link some great finds for all of you!
I’m learning how to cook and enjoying eating at the dinner table with my family. We are playing outside more and have become really close with our neighbors. I feel like I am even closer to my husband and my children than ever before. But, the greatest thing that 2020 has given me is a stronger faith!
With all the bad that 2020 has given us, I’ve come to appreciate the good in it all too.
This Fourth of July, we spent our Holiday with my Dad and my sister’s family in the Texas Hill Country. We searched for “reindeer” (deer), swam all day, played games, cooked, and “just watched the world go by”. Sounds like another boring day in 2020, but for us, it was perfect.

My favorite pool side drink, “Ranch Water”! We use Casamigas (blanco) Tequila, with juice of a whole lime, and Topo Chico.

This cover-up skirt was more than I like to spend for a cover-up, but I wear it ALL the time, definitely a great buy! I also just love this Summersalt swimsuit in their new gingham pattern!
July 4th Weekend Looks
Summer dresses with ruffles, yes please! I think a ruffle detail is such a fun, feminine touch. This red dress is more of a deep red, and a definite Game Day dress for those Alabama and OU fans. I also got this dress in black too and I did alter both of them to be right above my knees.
My absolute favorite denim shorts and easy linen white shirt. I wore this shirt during the day with my cut-offs and then at night with my ivory colored denim!
